Our Philosophy
We believe that the
American Pit Bull Terrier is not for everyone. One has to study and research this breed to fully comprehend and admire this
magnificent creature. They are the most loyal and greatest of family dogs,..... they were bred for that,.....they were
also bred to be animal aggressive,.....the American Pit Bull Terrier is not for everyone.
In the begining,
We've been involved with dogs since the
early 90's. Some or most of the dogs were'nt your typical show dog and probably could not have been shown in a conformation
ring. But they were ours and we loved them.
We
came into this looking at it through the eyes of an innocent child. Here was a venue for the whole family where we could interact
with our dogs. Our first time in the conformation ring we placed third and we were the happiest people in the park that
day. It was fun and the whole family enjoyed it.
Time and people would eventually corrupt that innocence as we noticed
the favoritism and polictics involved in the show ring. We then swore that when the day came that we were no longer having
fun, we would stop.
Fortunately, there are more than a few decent people in the show
world and I'm glad I've had the privelege and pleasure of meeting them. To all of you great people out there, many Thank
You's, Sincerely from the bottom of our hearts.
Our Dogs & Goals
Our dogs consists and derive
from older proven game lines. They have been bred and preserved by a few people that understand the history of these particular
strains of the American Pit Bull Terrier.
We will not breed for color, color of nose, or
head size. We are simply trying to do our best to preserve a little bit of history.
We want to take these bloodlines and breed to excell
in the conformation ring and to apply what made these dogs so legendary to more civilized sports such as weight pull, hogging,
agility, protection work and obedience.
Our Values
Here at Duenas Dynasty Kennels we thrive
in running a repectable and honorable establishment that was built on integrity. We believe that this breed is overbred
and the population is out of control. For those reasons and many others, we do not breed often. When we do a breeding it is
because we believe and know that it is for the right reasons and is for the betterment of the breed. When the pups
are born, we will search for the best possible homes for our pups where they will be happy. It brings great
comfort to us to know that the dog will live a long and great life in a home that he or she will love and cherish.
